Taryn Bird

Practice Manager

Taryn oversees the management and day to day running of the practice. She is also a qualified Ophthalmic Assistant. Taryn is here to ensure patients receive the best possible experience under our care. You will also see her involved in the assessment of patients prior to seeing the doctors and assisting the doctors with minor procedures.

Jess Curran

Administration

Jess is one of our receptionists and a recently qualified Ophthalmic Assistant. With her caring and gracious manner she is always on hand to assist you with all aspects of your visit, including booking appointments, practical clinic information, and surgical enquiries.

Samantha Caller

Administration

Samantha is one of our receptionists. She is a dedicated and compassionate member who is committed to assisting patients with all aspects of their visit, including booking appointments, practical clinic information and surgical enquiries.

Aymee Loftus

Ophthalmic Assistant

Amy is part of our clinical team, with her caring and compassionate nature, Aymee is here to assess our patients prior to seeing the doctor and assist our doctor’s with surgical procedures and intravitreal injections.

Nikita Singh

Orthoptist

Nikita graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Science, Mastering in Orthoptics. She is experienced in the use and interpretation of the extensive equipment we have here at Northern Beaches Cataract to assess and diagnose varying eye conditions.

Nerida Nagle

Ophthalmic Assistant

Nerida is a qualified and experienced optometrist who has joined the team to work with our orthoptists and ophthalmic assistants in the clinic. She has a keen interest in refractive outcomes after cataract surgery.

Sam McDermott

Ophthalmic Assistant

Sam is a valued member of our clinical team, with her friendly smile and happy nature, she is here to assess our patients prior to seeing the doctor, and assist our doctors with surgical procedures and intravitreal injections.

Louise Fowler

Ophthalmic Nurse

Louise is a qualified and experienced nurse who works alongside our orthoptists by assessing and conducting preliminary testing of our patients and assisting our doctors with intravitreal injections.
