Professional and Personal Q&A with Dr Jenny Danks:
Why did you become an Ophthalmologist?
“Vision is such a precious sense and the eye is complex, so our challenges always remain important and relevant to patient care.”
What is your favourite procedure and why?
“Cataract surgery allows patients to maintain independence and function such that their feedback drives motivation.”
Was there an important person in the field of Ophthalmology that inspired you?
“Professor Ida Mann came to Perth from the UK after WWII, a pioneer of embryology and genetics; an amazing ophthalmologist and female role model.”
Do you have an unforgettable work experience or a memorable patient story?
